Duties and Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat appearance and comply with personal appearance policies.
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Assist in training other associates when certified.
• Maintain effective communication within the department and organization.
• Support safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep the work area safe.
• Treat co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in bakery items such as rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
• Follow sanitation and food safety standards.
• Prepare, proof, and bake products as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Meet minimum age requirements for specific functions.

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive hand and arm motions, standing/walking for most of the shift.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
• Reach overhead or shoulder level while lifting.
• Work in hot/cold environments for periods of time.
• Operate controls, handle food and cleaning substances.

Preferred Requirements

• Provide friendly customer service and assist with product selection.
• Package, display, and organize bakery products.
• Replenish merchandise and prepare products or displays.
• Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory.
• Sanitize equipment and, if trained, decorate cakes.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
