Join us to apply for the FT Baker/Cook role at Healthcare Services Group, Inc.

This position involves preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility, with work shifts in the early morning to early afternoon or night, to be determined. The hourly wage will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook items according to planned menus and recipes.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food preparation, bakery, or as a cook is preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
  • Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
  • Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as per law.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
