Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. (AFNA) seeks a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician to ensure sanitation and that materials and products meet food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include HACCP verification, CCP/CP monitoring, recordkeeping, and decision-making to hold non-conforming items. The role requires English fluency, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a team within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent desirable; education may be substituted.
• Strong experience in food manufacturing, QA/FSQA and related operations.
• HACCP/SQF/PCQI certifications helpful.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance to FSQA and SQF requirements in daily production.
• Inspect GMPs, sanitary conditions, and material/product quality to standards.
• Verify HACCP plan is followed and CCPs/CPs monitored.
• Take corrective action (Hold) when specifications are out of range.
• Maintain accurate records and perform plant testing as needed.
• Assist in root cause analysis and preventive measures.
