Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America in Portland, OR is seeking a FSQA Technician to oversee food safety and quality checks across production. You will perform line verifications, CCP checks, and lab testing while maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include audits, documentation, training of employees, and coordinating with the FSQA team to ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP standards. This is a full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in employee training and support; attention to detail; familiarity with computers.
• Must be able to use a computer to perform reporting and record-keeping tasks as well as create reports, presentations, and charts as needed.
• Punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Food Safety Program, participate in audits and verifications.
• Carry out line checks, verify critical control points and HACCP programs.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods; manage hold logs and documentation.
• Conduct microbiological and chemical tests; prepare paperwork and reports.
• Update HACCP/SSOP programs; perform training; assist in lab and production tasks.
