Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. seeks a FSQA Technician to uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. The role focuses on physical and visual product inspections and accurate result documentation for plant systems.

You will take corrective actions, identify non-conforming materials, and report results to management while supporting additional assignments as needed. The position requires endurance for long shifts and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
• Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Math and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Must function well under stress.
• Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
• Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be able to work in wet environment
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
• Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification

• Handling additional assignments as requested.

Working Conditions

• Environment : Normal for a food manufacturing setting.
• Physical Requirements : Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds.
• Safety Equipment : Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses (where required), hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.
• Restrictions : Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
