Job summary

Home Chef in Illinois is seeking a FSQA Superintendent to oversee the implementation and ongoing improvement of core Food Safety & Quality programs, ensuring SQF compliance, sanitation standards, and a robust master sanitation schedule.

You will lead Management Review, act as SQF Practitioner, and mentor FSQA staff while partnering with plant and corporate teams. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in quality assurance, food safety, food distribution, food manufacturing, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience with GFSI, SQF and USDA audits preferred.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation and verification of the Food Safety & Quality Management System.
• Lead the development and execution of the cleaning and sanitation program, including Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Lead the Management Review process and ensure FSQA programs are evaluated and improved.
• Act as the SQF Practitioner and maintain audit documentation.
• Assist in gathering, trending and reporting metrics to measure performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities and drive continuous improvement.
