Responsibilities

• Leads, trains, and manages a team of food safety quality personnel
• Coordinates quality assurance activities (audits, training, purchasing, etc.)
• Monitors HACCP CCPs and ensures compliance with policies
• Conduct GMP and sanitation audits of operations and warehouse areas
• Works with operations on quality and safety issues
• Maintains SQF program and FDA compliance guidelines
• Calibration of equipment and validation of food safety systems
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are being followed to produce safe quality food

Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for an FSQA Manager.

Position Summary

This position oversees inspection to ensure high-quality products that meet customer, Quality Assurance (QA), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) specifications to guarantee satisfaction. This job requires standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. through the entire shift. Applicants must be self-motivated and excited about working in a team environment.

Essential Functions

• Leads, trains, and manages a team of food safety quality personnel
• Coordinates quality assurance activities (e.g., audits, training, purchasing, etc.)
• Monitors and verifies the HACCP plan’s CCPs adhering to policy and procedure
• Conduct GMP and sanitation audits of operations and warehouse areas
• Works with operations personnel on quality and safety issues
• Places product on hold, release or disposition as necessary while adhering to policy and procedure
• Evaluates damaged or out-of-spec products
• Work with the FSQA Director to maintain the SQF program
• Develop and further FDA compliance guidelines
• Calibration of equipment, validation, verification of food safety systems
• Ensure proper sanitation procedures are being followed to produce safe quality food

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must lift 50+lbs repeatedly
