Job summary

Schweid & Sons is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to maintain and control FSQA documentation in line with USDA, SQF, and company requirements. The role supports audits, manages records, and ensures document integrity while collaborating with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams.

We value highly organized, detail-oriented candidates who can handle multiple priorities in a production environment and train others in document management practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and USDA regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage FSQA documentation, including SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP plans, training records, and verification logs.
• Control document versions and coordinate timely reviews, updates, and approvals.
• Verify documents are accurate, current, and compliant with regulatory, company, and audit standards.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing, organizing, and retrieving required documents and records.
• Digitize, archive, and maintain electronic and hard-copy records with retention requirements.
• Partner with FSQA, Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to promote consistent documentation practices.
• Train team members on document control procedures and document management systems.
• Create and format new documents, logs, and forms as needed.
• Handle and store confidential information securely.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
