Job summary

Smalls is seeking an FSQA Associate to run the day-to-day FSQA program, including routine production testing, hold/release decisions, and triage of quality complaints. You will maintain documentation, coordinate with co-manufacturers, labs, and CS, and escalate investigations to the Sr.

Manager, FSQA as needed. This role focuses on meticulous QA operations in a high-volume setting, ensuring food safety decisions are well-supported while keeping production on schedule and data well organized for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• 1–3 years in a food/bev/pet food QA role.
• Working knowledge of micro testing protocols and lab coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and attention to high-volume documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine production testing and hold/release decisions for multiple SKUs across co-man and 3PL networks.
• Serve as CS QA liaison, triaging complaints and enabling timely responses.
• Support formal investigations and draft CAPA documentation under FSQA leadership.
• Input and maintain QA data, reports, and document libraries; support trend analyses.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with co-mans, labs, CS, and ops to keep the program on schedule.
