Job summary

FSQ Lab in Germantown, WI seeks a Manufacturing Technician for 1st shift to support quality monitoring across all processes from batching to packaging. You will conduct testing on raw and finished products and ensure sanitation and changeover readiness.

Responsibilities include sampling, release of ingredients, allergen checks, and maintaining documentation. The role requires a HACCP background, strong communication, and 1+ year QA experience in food/beverage manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in QA in food or beverage manufacturing is required.
• Trained in HACCP and able to document inspection findings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes.
• Perform physical and chemical testing of raw batches and finished products.
• Execute sampling, testing and release of bulk and refrigerated ingredients.
• Perform pre-operation sanitation and change-over compliance checks.
• Execute CIP validation and allergen testing.
• Coordinate collection and storage of finished product samples.
• Create events for nonconforming ingredients and packaging material.
• Verify sanitation and allergen controls; review quality records.
• Coordinate verification and calibration of inline equipment.
• Contribute to root cause analyses and customer complaint investigations.
• Maintain FSQ documentation and laboratory housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Germantown: Main Germantown, WI

Shift/Schedule: Mon - Fri with weekend work as needed | 1st Shift | 6:00AM - 2:00PM

Pay: Base + Shift Differential = $21.60/hour (plus based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Execute Quality Monitoring Scheme routines across all manufacturing processes, including batching, processing, filling and packaging.
• Execute physical and chemical testing of raw batches, finished products and any other testing as defined by the Quality Monitoring Scheme.
• Execute sampling, testing and release of bulk and refrigerated ingredients.
• Execute pre-operation routines, which includes sanitation approval for equipment and environment, and compliance against product change-over requirements.
• Execute CIP validation and allergen testing.
• Coordinate collection and storage of finished product samples during manufacturing operation.
• Execute hold routines including creating events for nonconforming ingredients, packaging material, raw batches and finished products.
• Execute verification and validation routines for sanitation and allergen controls.
• Execute review and approval of food safety and quality records created throughout shift.Coordinate verification and calibration routines for inline and in-process equipment, i.e. X-Ray, Metal Detectors, in-line filters, etc.
• Execute verification routines for pre-requisite records and Programs.
• Provide contribution towards root cause analysis and customer complaint investigations.
• Provide contribution towards maintenance and improvement of FSQ documentation practices.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area.
• Other duties, as assigned by management.

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
• Ability to document, describe and interpret records and documented specifications.
• Ability to enforce company procedures and policies.
• Ability to document inspection findings legibly and with accuracy.
• BSc in Food Science, Food Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a QA function within food or beverage manufacturing industry.
• Work experience and trained in HACCP.
