Kalamazoo Public Schools is hiring a part-time Food Service 1 for Lincoln International School, 8:30-1:30 pm. $16.98 per hour. Duties include daily kitchen operations, serving students, and basic cleanup in a fast-paced environment.

Scope of Responsibilities

Food Service staff performing the daily kitchen operations, serving students, and kitchen clean up.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1. Must provide proof of a High School Diploma or accredited equivalency. Documentation upon hiring is required.
• 2. Must have an excellent attendance record, be reliable, friendly, courteous and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• 3. Displays exceptional personal hygiene practices.
• 4. Able to follow verbal and written instructions. Able to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations.
• 5. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Display dexterity with hands.
• 6. Able to follow written recipe instructions (applies to FS-2, FS-3 or F-4 only).
• 7. Basic understanding of food safety/sanitation-Prior cooking experience preferred (applies to FS-2, FS-3, FS-4 only).
• 8. Has no misdemeanors within the past 5 years or any felony convictions.
• 9. Previous food service, cashiering and cooking experience is desirable.
• 10. Experience using commercial kitchen equipment is desirable.
