Job summary

Kalamazoo Public Schools is hiring a part-time Food Service 1 for Lincoln International School, 8:30-1:30 pm. $16.98 per hour. Duties include daily kitchen operations, serving students, and basic cleanup in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, reliability with attendance, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and knowledge of food safety. Prior food service experience is desirable; background check is required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attendance record and reliability.
• Hygiene and personal cleanliness required.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Follow written recipe instructions (FS-2/FS-3/FS-4).
• Basic understanding of food safety/sanitation; prior cooking exp. preferred.
• No misdemeanors in past 5 years; no felony convictions.
• Prior food service/cashier/cooking exp desirable.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment desirable.
