Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a Food Safety & Hygiene Technician in Desplaines, IL to uphold rigorous quality and safety standards. The role involves monitoring critical control points, conducting audits, and supporting hygiene initiatives across an international hospitality team.

You will maintain QA records, assist in audits, and deliver training while working within a fast-paced environment requiring organization and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors CCP (critical control point) and temperature records; follows up or escalates as necessary. Completes internal food safety audits and prepares samples for microbiological testing.
• Maintains quality assurance filing system. Investigates customer complaints and maintains and makes recommendations for improvement for the facility's traceability system.
• Assists in internal and external audits.
• Facility Hygiene: Supports with pest control management and completes pest control audits. Assists in monitoring and makes recommendations for improvement for the facilities cleaning schedule. Maintains records for facility hygiene.
• Maintains records for employee training and retains and track renewals for food safety certifications. Delivers food safety training as necessary.

Food Safety & Hygiene Responsibilities:
