Job summary

DO & CO in Boston is seeking a dynamic FS/QA Technician to join our team. The role involves daily food safety activities, including checks, calibration, and contractor oversight, in a hospitality-focused environment.

You will support GMP practices, perform traceability audits, and ensure regulatory compliance across local and international standards. This on-site opportunity offers growth in a luxury gourmet entertainment firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree may be preferred for QA/FS roles.
• Experience in QA administration and document control is required or desired.
• Proficiency with standard office software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily Food Safety activities: pre/post-operational checks, temperature & thermometer calibration, sanitizer checks, and third-party cleaning verification.
• Responds to food safety inquiries and reinforces GMP through floor walks and self-audits.
• Escalates non-compliance to FS/QA supervisor/manager and follows up on timely corrective action.
• Performs regular traceability audits, lab collections, and swabs to ensure compliance and safety.

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager FS/QA Technicianin Boston.

Responsibilities:

• Completes daily Food Safety activities including but not limited to pre-operational checks, operational checks, and post-operational checks, temperature checks, cooler/freezer checks, thermometer calibration, sanitizer checks, and verification on cleaning activities of third party cleaning company.
• Responds to questions regarding food safety processes; reinforce GMP best practices by completing regular floor walks and self-audits.
• Escalates non-compliance to the FS/QA supervisor and/or FS/QA Manager, and Department manager and follow up on timely corrective action.
• Conducts regular traceability audits, regular lab collections, and regular swabs for testing. Ensures quality assurance and product/food safety and regulatory compliance, adhering to local, state, federal, international environmental, health and food safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3 years’ experience in QA administration and document control
• Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & SharePoint)

• Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.

• Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
