Job summary

Church's Chicken is hiring a Kitchen Cook to prepare and cook food items per the Shift Manager's instructions. You’ll set up batter and fry areas, monitor equipment, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed.

Responsibilities include preparing batter, maintaining cleanliness, stocking the area, and assisting with other tasks as needed by the Manager in Charge of Shift. This is a fast-paced role requiring physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Food preparation and cooking to specification per shift instructions.
• Adherence to safety, sanitation and operating procedures.
• Ability to stand, lift and move items as required by a kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Sets up batter line and prepares batter mix.
• Ensures call sheets are complete, posted and used.
• Checks equipment and reports malfunctions to the Manager in Charge.
• Color balances fryers and maintains shortening levels.
• Filters and cleans fryers following safety guidelines.
• Prepares and cooks food per business needs and Manager in Charge direction.
• Maintains food quality and holds times as specified in the SOM.
• Maintains a clean work area and stocking at batter area.
• Assists with inventory, cooler organization, and other tasks as assigned.
• Follows sanitation and safety guidelines at all times.
