Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Fryer Operator to maintain and operate processing equipment from blanching to frying, ensuring product quality on all production lines. You will work to keep safety, sanitation and GMPs in line with company standards while supporting line flow.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, creating work orders, coordinating with maintenance for preventative tasks, and training other plant personnel.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school, or related experience.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid equipment operator’s license with a Lift Truck endorsement within 30 days.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
• Identify and document out-of-spec product and adjust process.
• Perform and record quality checks and sampling per procedures.
• Create work orders for equipment needing work during downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance on preventative maintenance.
• Understand running processing equipment.
• Safely operate oil system to maintain filtration and oil quality.
• Perform daily cleaning and major cleanup as required.
• Handle additional accountabilities per management.
• Assist in training other plant personnel.
