Job summary

Advantic Building Group is seeking an Assembly Technician to fabricate and assemble FRP structures per blueprints and specs. You will use standard carpentry tools and techniques to high craftsmanship standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, verifying materials, measuring accurately, and coordinating with engineers to resolve issues while maintaining safety and quality records. Strong math and tool handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; related training or years of experience acceptable.
• Carpentry certificate preferred.
• Entry to senior level candidates considered based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and setup.
• Check materials before fabrication to ensure they meet specs.
• Measure and mark dimensions as guides for machining.
• Set up and adjust holding fixtures and cutting tools on machines.
• Fabricate and assemble parts to prescribed tolerances.
• Verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments.
• Complete paperwork for inventory, safety, and quality control.
• Manage perishable materials via first-in, first-out inventory.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to solve issues.
• Safely operate cutting, shaping, and hand tools.
• Assemble tools and materials for fabrication tasks.
• Solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Maintain care of tools and follow carpentry methods.
