Job summary

Traditions is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Pearl, MS to ensure the food production line runs smoothly. You will maintain refrigeration and A/C equipment, perform repairs in the frozen meals facility, and participate in safety training while supporting production as needed.

The role requires experience in refrigeration and general maintenance, ability to lift 50 lbs, and the capability to work in cold environments.

Qualifications

• College education or training in Refrigeration, Electrical, and General Maintenance or comparable experience.
• Two years’ experience in Refrigeration, Electrical, and General Maintenance
• Tested and certified on Refrigeration and A/C.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to work in freezer and cold environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the production line in Frozen Meals and assist in maintaining cooking and packaging equipment.
• Assist in maintaining refrigeration and A/C equipment.
• Remain in Frozen Meal plant unless responding to an emergency.
• Attend safety training classes.
• Stay in Frozen Meal plant after production line completes; may perform non-maintenance tasks as requested.
• Set up the production line by 6:30 a.m. and ensure weights and meals run smoothly.
• Assist with getting weights on the production line and adjust as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment weekly with documentation.
• Sanitize air conditioning units and remove ice buildup weekly.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
