Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department team member to provide quality customer service, rotate and stock perishable items, and support store operations. You will handle deliveries, assist customers, and ensure proper display and safety practices in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and adherence to company policies and safety guidelines while maintaining product levels across meat, dairy, and frozen sections.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, etc.).
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform, with name badge, when on duty and maintain a neat appearance.
