Job summary

United Fidelity Bank is seeking a Universal Banker I to be the friendly face of the branch in Chicago. You will provide high-quality teller services, educate customers on products, open new accounts, manage cash in vaults, and support management.

Key duties include cross-selling, complying with banking regulations, handling wire transfers, and assisting with branch reporting. Weekend/evening shifts and travel between branches may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years banking experience.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Minimum one to two years in a customer contact/sales position or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a complete range of customer services, explaining products and services, gathering information to process accounts, and opening/maintaining accounts.
• Proactively cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs.
• Perform teller duties and balance vault/branch daily.
• Refer customers to appropriate staff to meet financial needs and handle wire transfers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, disclosures and privacy requirements.
• Drive proactive sales conversations through internal and outbound interactions and lobby engagement.
• Assist management as needed and provide overrides within procedural limits.
