Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital is seeking Public Safety Officers to serve as front line guardians, delivering courteous customer service while keeping environments safe and secure for patients, visitors, colleagues, clinicians and physicians.

Officers are equipped to respond to hazardous and emergency situations, coordinate with security and facilities, and support overall campus safety. A high school diploma and driving record are required, with CT Guard Card submission within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience in service to the public or patients (public safety, corrections, first responder, military, mental health worker/technician or other similar healthcare patient facing role)
• Related volunteer or degree programs may be substituted for experience based on hiring manager discretion
• Valid driver's license and an excellent driving record
• Valid CT Guard Card or documentation of submission of CT Guard Card application with expectation to receive CT Guard Card within 90 days of hire
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
