Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Health Care Specialist to be the first line of defense for civilian health after disasters and to support Soldiers on and off the battlefield.

You will deliver emergency and ongoing care, manage medical readiness, and supervise supplies and equipment while training to become an EMT or higher. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Administer emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties.
• Assist with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment.
• Instruct Soldiers on Combat Lifesaver/First Responder training.
• Manage Soldiers’ medical readiness, medical supplies, and equipment.
