Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our on-site team in Ohio. This role performs hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, daily rounds, and preventative maintenance in a 24/7 data center environment.

The position requires TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. Bachelor's degree in EE/ME is preferred, with 4+ years of data center engineering experience

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain data center electrical and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
• Perform preventive maintenance (filters, HVAC PMs, rack PDU/ATS)
• Support Data Center Operations technicians
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Ensure safety procedures are followed while performing work
• Work 12-hour shifts (days/nights, rotating 3–4 day weeks)
