Customs and Border Protection is hiring Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs) at GS-5, GS-7 and GS-9 levels. Duties include inspecting people and goods, enforcing immigration, customs and agriculture laws, and determining admissibility at borders.

Formación

• GS-5: 3 years general experience or 1 year at GS-4, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• GS-7: 1 year specialized experience or education substitution with a bachelor’s degree or graduate study
• GS-9: 1 year specialized experience at next higher grade or equivalent combinations

Responsabilidades

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Inspect individuals and conveyances to determine admissibility.
• Ensure the flow of legitimate trade and travel and prevent smuggling and illegal entry.
