Cencora seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with business units and deliver production-grade Generative AI solutions in days to weeks. You will scope problems with stakeholders, build AI inside their systems, and contribute reusable components to our AI platform.

The role blends software engineering, solution architecture, and consulting, with on-site engagement as needed and a strong emphasis on delivering value quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall software engineering / IT experience.
• 3+ years building Generative AI / Agentic AI systems.
• Strong expertise in Python and modern AI development frameworks.
• Practical experience with LLMs and multiagent orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with business units and stakeholder teams to understand workflows and data.
• Scope and ship Generative AI/Agentic AI solutions inside real systems and data in rapid cycles.
• Design API-first integrations connecting AI capabilities to enterprise workflows.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and communicate progress clearly to executives and engineers.
• Apply MLOps/LLMOps practices to keep deployments reliable in production.
