Job summary

Cencora seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with healthcare and business units, turning real-world problems into production-grade AI solutions in days to weeks. You will scope problems, build inside live systems, and contribute to a shared AI platform, owning delivery from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Generative AI, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with LLMs and MLOps. Willingness to work onsite with healthcare teams and travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years software eng/IT experience.
• 3+ years building Generative AI / Agentic AI systems.
• Strong Python and AI dev frameworks knowledge.
• Experience with multiple LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama).
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings.
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP) and MLOps/LLMOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Embed with business units to understand workflows and data.
• Ship Generative AI/Agentic AI solutions in days to weeks.
• Build RAG pipelines and evaluation frameworks.
• Design API-first integrations into enterprise systems.
• Lead stakeholder workshops and present progress.
