Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Frontier Engineer (AI/Agentic) to help build scalable, secure AI-enabled solutions within the Cognizant Forward team. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and AI practitioners in a cross-functional pod to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, APIs, databases, and cloud-native components, with a strong focus on responsible AI and modern software engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Foundational software engineering principles and OOP basics.
• Exposure to full-stack or backend development, APIs, databases, and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted tools to build, test, deploy, and enhance software applications and APIs.
• Support AI-enabled apps and agentic workflows, including context and harness engineering.
• Design and integrate full-stack apps, backend services, APIs, databases and cloud components.
• Evaluate AI outputs for quality, performance, and business relevance.
• Contribute to knowledge systems, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Apply responsible AI and software engineering best practices while learning new tools.
