Job summary
Omni is seeking a Frontend Engineer to set the technical direction for data visualization at Omni. You’ll shape how customers see their data by designing visualization components and the pipelines behind them, in close partnership with the product manager and fellow engineers.
Based in San Francisco, or remote for candidates near Omni’s hubs (Philadelphia, Boulder/Denver, Santa Cruz, Seattle); final rounds in person. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany this opportunity.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience including 2+ years at a senior level.
- Deep experience in data visualization with portfolio or recognized work.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with data or BI tools (SQL, Looker, Tableau, etc.).
- Ability to set technical vision and influence a team.
- Familiar with AI coding tools and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and North Star for data visualization.
- Partner with PM and engineers to translate viz strategy into features.
- Raise the bar on visualization quality and performance.
- Design and build frontend visualization components and data pipelines.
- Mentor engineers in the visualization stream.
- Ship iteratively, refine based on customer feedback.
- Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development.
