Attentive is hiring a Software Engineer to build full‑stack experiences that simplify complex data workflows for marketers. You will design modern React applications and backend services powering customer-facing products, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape features from concept to production.

The role emphasizes user experience, performance, and scalability, with opportunities to work across cutting-edge technologies and a distributed global team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development with a focus on frontend systems.
• Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript, with knowledge of backend tech such as Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot considered a plus.
• Experience building scalable, customer-facing, high-performance applications.
• Experience with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining sound engineering judgment.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver quality software.
• Solid understanding of best practices: code reviews, tests, and CI.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library and Playwright.
• Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for delivering user-friendly software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain intuitive, reusable web interfaces backed by scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Implement and optimize systems to enable observability into Attentive’s event-based platform.
• Collaborate with product and design to build applications that support marketing communication channels.
• Improve code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Address technical debt to ensure long-term health of the codebase.
• Contribute to technical decisions and stay current with emerging technologies.
