Job summary

BlueTread is building the future with a fully remote Front-end Software Engineer role focused on React Native for iOS and Android. You’ll collaborate with designers and API teams to deliver a seamless user experience and scalable UI components.

You will architect and implement the front end, write thorough tests, and optimize performance. Strong knowledge of React Native, Redux, REST/GraphQL, Swift, Git, and a collaborative mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• Proficiency with React Native for mobile development.
• Experience with Redux for state management and REST/GraphQL APIs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with designers and API teams to build multi-platform web and mobile interfaces.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end code with a focus on performance.

Who You Are

You're a Software Engineer specializing in front-end development, driven by a passion for building great user experiences and collaborating with a team to bring them to life. In this role, you'll work closely with graphic designers and the product team to create a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, supported by robust APIs. You'll be responsible for developing user interfaces that seamlessly connect customers with backend business systems.

Your collaboration extends to product owners, designers, and API teams as you work together to create a React Native application targeting both iOS and Android platforms. This includes not only architecting and developing the application but also writing thorough tests to ensure its reliability and performance.

You're detail-oriented yet understand the importance of balancing precision with meeting deadlines. You are comfortable taking initiative on tasks and projects, and you thrive in a team environment where collective effort drives success.

This position is fully remote and requires you to reside in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with development teams and designers to create web applications that run seamlessly on multiple platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to enhance front-end performance.
• Understand client requirements to build applications within stipulated timelines and budgets.
• Plan and implement the data and presentation layers of the application’s front end.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 2+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in React Native framework for mobile application development.
• Experience with Redux or other state management libraries for React Native.
• Understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and experience with networking in mobile applications.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and experience working with wireframes.
• Familiarity with security best practices in mobile application development.
• Experience programming with the Swift Language on iOS
• Proficiency in using source-code management systems like Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading and participating in teleconferences on platforms like Teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments while also making swift, informed decisions when necessary.
• Must be located in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship.
