Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Software Developer (Frontend) to deliver frontend design and development for USAF missions, including wireframes, mockups, and UI optimizations. This remote role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly and involves working across DevSecOps, cloud, and agile teams.

The position emphasizes user-focused UI/UX, strong front-end development, and collaboration with PMO and stakeholders. Travel of 10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 7 years of software development experience in OO and scripting languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 3 years of experience with Jira and testing web-based applications.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 3 years of recent front-end web design and development experience.
• Experience engaging in agile, user-centric UI/UX design practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-end design and development tasks including mockups, wireframes, and documentation for PMO and stakeholders.
• Plan and implement GUI modifications and optimize UI elements and navigation.
• Develop and optimize front-end features and user experience for the USAF mission.
• Support cloud deployments and data integration from unclassified to classified apps.
• Maintain and integrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and related tools.
• Travel to sites 10-20% as required.

Job description

The Software Developer (Frontend) provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Shall perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other associated documentation for PMO and stakeholder review, planning and implementing modifications to GUIs, constructing and optimizing various UI elements, optimizing system navigation practices and elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing feature development.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area. Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent front-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX practices.
• Required Certifications: DCWF Code: 632 Intermediate
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
