Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Frontend Software Developer to support USAF missions. The role emphasizes front-end design, mockups, wireframes, and UI optimization for user-friendly interfaces. You will work in a DevSecOps setting, collaborate with PMO and stakeholders, and ensure robust front-end development with cloud experience.

Remote work is allowed with TS/SCI clearance and CI Poly eligibility. Requires 7+ years in software development, strong Jira/GitLab/Jenkins skills, and extensive experience

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility.
• 7+ years of software development experience in OO and scripting languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 7 years of experience delivering software in cloud environments and integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 3+ years of experience with Jira and testing web-based applications.
• 3+ years of participation in software development programs or projects.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5+ years with at least five tools (NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube).
• 3 years of front-end web design and development experience.
• Experience with agile, user-centric UI/UX design.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-end design and development support including creating mockups and wireframes.
• Modify GUIs and optimize UI elements for easier navigation and usage.
• Develop and test front-end code in a DevSecOps environment.
• Collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to define requirements and plan modifications.
• Engage in agile processes and ensure strong UI/UX outcomes.

Job description

The Software Developer (Frontend) provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Shall perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other associated documentation for PMO and stakeholder review, planning and implementing modifications to GUIs, constructing and optimizing various UI elements, optimizing system navigation practices and elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing feature development.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area. Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent front-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX practices.

• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
