Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Software Developer (Frontend) to support a USAF mission. The role applies analytics to drive process improvements, define requirements, and deliver frontend designs, mockups, and UI components for PMO review.

The position is remote and requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly; candidates should have strong front-end experience, cloud tools, and a track record in agile, user-centered UI/UX development.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in software development and DevSecOps.
• 3 years of front-end web design and development experience.

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end design and development tasks including mockups, wireframes, and documentation.
• Plan and implement modifications to GUIs and UI elements.
• Optimize system navigation and user experience for web applications.
• Work in a DevSecOps environment with microservices and containers.
• Contribute to testing, bug tracking with Jira, and agile projects.

Job description

The Software Developer (Frontend) provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Shall perform engineering tasks for front-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, creating technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and other associated documentation for PMO and stakeholder review, planning and implementing modifications to GUIs, constructing and optimizing various UI elements, optimizing system navigation practices and elements, and facilitating operator ease of use for user-facing feature development.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area. Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).

• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests.

• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.

• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.

• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.

• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.

• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.

• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.

• 3 years of recent front-end web design and development experience.

• Demonstrated experience engaging in agile, user-centric application design ensuring best-of-breed UI/UX practices.

• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
