Job summary

X-Bow Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Frontend JavaScript Software Engineer to build responsive, scalable web applications. This hybrid role in Luling, TX, will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality UI features.

You will work with ES6+ JavaScript, modern frameworks (React/Vue/Angular), and build tools, ensuring performance, testability, and maintainability across projects for defense and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data fetching.
• Version control with Git, and modern frontend build tools.
• Ability to write unit/integration tests (Jest/RTL/Cypress).
• Comfortable in Agile teams and collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US Person per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing features with clean, reusable code.
• Translate designs into high-quality, responsive UI implementations.
• Ensure UI/UX feasibility and performance, with scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and data flows.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices and tests.
• Stay current with frontend technologies and advocate for improvements.
