Job summary
Condé Nast is hiring a Front End Software Engineer / SE2: Full Stack to elevate the visual and interactive experiences across our publishing brands. You will craft premium UI using React, TypeScript, and modern web patterns, collaborating with design and product teams to ship high-quality reader experiences.
You will work across the multi-brand ecosystem, ensuring accessibility, performance, and scalable architecture while mentoring peers and embracing responsible AI practices to improve
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience building front-end experiences with React and TypeScript.
- Strong fluency with GraphQL, including fragments, schemas, and component-oriented queries.
- Deep understanding of modern React concepts (hooks, suspense, SSR/Hydration, RSC).
- Strong CSS fundamentals for responsive design and typography.
- Commitment to accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals and reducing runtime costs.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset to push the platform forward.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.
Responsibilities
- Elevate Front End architecture with polished UI elements as React components.
- Collaborate with Design, Editorial, and Product to align engineering with brand goals.
- Work with GraphQL schemas and resolvers to deliver efficient data payloads.
- Focus on performance, accessibility, and semantic HTML across devices.
- Mentor teammates to improve front-end craft and intuition.
- Contribute to design reviews and platform strategy.
