Job summary

Mobomo is seeking a Frontend Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to help modernize and maintain federal client web applications, emphasizing performance, accessibility, and security. You will transition legacy codebases to React architectures and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions for government portals.

Ideal applicants have strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, hands-on React experience, and a bias for quality testing and WCAG/508 compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of front-end development with React.js
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and Bootstrap
• Solid understanding of React hooks, lifecycle, and state management
• Experience with unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and Git

Responsibilities

• Front-End Modernization: Transition legacy front-end codebases to modern React architectures to improve scalability and performance.
• UI Component Development: Build responsive, reusable UI components for desktop and mobile using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and Bootstrap.
• State Management & Backend Integration: Use React hooks and RESTful microservices to integrate backend services into interactive client-server applications.
• Accessibility & 508 Compliance: Ensure Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance using tools like ANDI, WAVE, Color Contrast Analyzer, and Chrome Lighthouse.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement TDD workflows with unit, integration, and regression tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Jasmine, JUnit).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Backend Engineering using Agile tools (Git, Jira, Slack) and pair programming.
