SAIC in Washington, DC seeks a skilled Front-End Specialist to design accessible, high-performing user interfaces for congressional and public content. You’ll use HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular to deliver responsive experiences.

You will integrate with back-end services via REST/JSON, build component libraries, ensure WCAG/Section 508 compliance, and participate in CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience in front-end or UI development.
• Strong experience with React and/or Angular, including state management and API integration.
• Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Familiarity with secure coding practices.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain accessible, responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Integrate front-end applications with back-end services through REST/JSON APIs.
• Develop and maintain themes and front-end components for Drupal-based and other CMS-driven websites.
• Build reusable component libraries and enforce consistent design and coding standards.
• Ensure all front-end deliverables comply with Section 508 and WCAG 2.x requirements, using automated and manual accessibility testing.
• Optimize page performance, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and security scanning.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, Information Management staff, and stakeholders to translate requirements into user-friendly solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and recommend front-end tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Follow documented SOPs and recommend improvements to repeatable processes.
• Collaborate with Information Management staff, system developers, QA, and security teams to ensure accurate flow of data and metadata across system environments.
• Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and runbooks.
