Job summary

Vergent LMS, Inc. is seeking a Frontend Engineer for Platform and Web in a hybrid role. You will contribute to the frontend experience of the SaaS platform and own the WordPress marketing site end to end, building responsive interfaces and polished user experiences.

You will collaborate with Development, Product, and Marketing to translate designs into functional, high-quality code, while maintaining visual consistency and performance across both product and website.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and help lead frontend development within the Vergent platform, turning designs and requirements into polished, responsive interfaces
• Partner with Development and Product to improve UI, usability and the overall user experience across the platform
• Own the development, maintenance and ongoing improvement of Vergent's WordPress website
• Build and update responsive website pages, landing pages and custom functionality, partnering with Marketing on initiatives and improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, consistency and visual design across both the product and the website
• Troubleshoot frontend and WordPress issues and maintain website performance
• Take projects from concept through implementation, and collaborate across Development, Product and Marketing to ship them

Position summary

Vergent is looking for a frontend engineer who combines strong development skills with a real eye for design and user experience. That combination is the heart of this role. We would rather have one person who can both build a clean interface and make it look and feel right than several who can only do one.

The primary focus is the frontend experience of our SaaS platform, including the borrower-facing portal and the operator-facing workflows our lenders use every day. This person will also own Vergent's WordPress marketing website end to end. The platform work is the priority; the website is a core responsibility alongside it.

Required

Preferred

• WordPress development experience, including custom themes and PHP. Strong candidates without it should be comfortable owning WordPress within the first few months
• Experience working on a SaaS product
• An eye for design strong enough to improve on what is handed to you
