Job summary

Vergent, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to architect and deliver production‑grade web apps end‑to‑end. You’ll work with product, design, and data teams to translate business goals into scalable code across front‑end React and back‑end Node.js/Python stacks.

You’ll own features, collaborate directly with clients, and pick the right tools to ensure secure, performant solutions in a remote‑friendly, flexible culture.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years building full‑stack web apps in production.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React on the frontend.
• Strong backend experience with Node.js or Python.
• Relational and NoSQL databases, query optimization, schema design.
• Cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Clean, test‑driven code and good documentation.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full‑stack features for web apps, dashboards, and internal tools.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs with React and component libraries.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement business logic, and optimize databases.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, automate tests, and monitor production performance.
• Integrate third‑party services (Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, DocuSign, etc.).

The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Vergent, you’ll architect, build, and ship production-grade web applications end‑to‑end. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and data specialists to translate business goals into clean, scalable code across the front‑end (React/Next.js) and back‑end (Node.js/TypeScript or Python) stacks. Expect green‑field projects, direct client interaction, and the freedom to choose the right tools to deliver secure, performant, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full‑stack features for web apps, dashboards, and internal tools.
• Build responsive, accessible UIs with React (or similar), integrating reusable component libraries and design tokens.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement business logic, and optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent).
• Own CI/CD pipelines, automate tests, and monitor production performance using modern DevOps practices.
• Integrate third‑party services (Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, DocuSign, Authorize.net, etc.) and ensure data flows securely.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices.

What You’ll Bring

• 3–6 years building and scaling full‑stack web applications in a production environment.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or Vue/Svelte) on the front‑end.
• Strong back‑end experience in Node.js or Python (Express/Nest.js, FastAPI/Django, or similar).
• Practical knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and schema design.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Commitment to writing clean, test‑driven code and a habit of documenting decisions.
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
