Job summary

CHAMP, redefining government tech with cloud-based platforms, seeks a Frontend Engineer to join an onsite Cleveland team. You will build user-facing experiences in an Agile environment, translating requirements into responsive interfaces and contributing to a modern, scalable web app that replaces legacy systems.

You’ll work with product, design, and backend teams to deliver polished features and grow technically within a welcoming culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, testing, and implementing React applications.
• Solid understanding of UI design patterns and best practices.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with frontend build tools and dependency management.
• Experience writing automated tests with Vitest/Jest/RTL.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features while ensuring scalable, maintainable code.
• Translate use cases and UI mockups into responsive features.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and handle loading and error states.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Create and maintain system and component documentation.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, backend engineers, Product, and QA.
• Contribute to technical design discussions with senior team members.
• Apply security best practices for sensitive government/financial data.
• Write unit and integration tests.
