Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a frontend intern for the Remote Flight Deck (RFD) Platform team. You will build pilot-facing UI features in the browser, starting from the interface and extending into video, telemetry, and backend services as needed.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship production features and grow with a company powering autonomous flying capabilities for public safety, infrastructure, and enterprise users.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering foundation and a commitment to writing clean, well-architected code.
• Junior, senior, or MS-level student with meaningful project or internship experience developing modern web applications that connect to backend APIs and data systems.
• Experience in modern web development (React, TypeScript, GraphQL, WebGL/Three.js).
• Experience building and maintaining scalable APIs, services, and integrations for handling large datasets.
• Bonus: familiarity with robotics software development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement pilot-facing features that help operators make faster, safer decisions while flying.
• Collaborate across functions (product managers, designers, engineers, and support) to deliver high-quality, impactful features to customers.
• Ship production features on the RFD Platform frontend leveraging video, telemetry, maps, and related services.
