Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a frontend software engineer to build resilient UI components using React and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on accessibility and modern styling. You will leverage AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, and work within an Agile team to deliver iterative improvements.

Strong experience in CSS/CSS-in-JS, Storybook, and CI/CD is required, along with a drive to learn emerging technologies in a fast-evolving AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience building front-end apps and reusable component libraries with React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in modern front-end development including architecture, state management, and responsive UI.
• Strong CSS skills with preprocessors (Sass/LESS) and CSS-in-JS.
• Accessibility expertise: WCAG, ARIA, semantic HTML, keyboard interactions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and quality.
• Ability to learn and adopt emerging tools in a fast-evolving AI-augmented environment.
• Experience with Agile SCRUM and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with emphasis on security and reviews.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine problem solving.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex apps and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and visualizes data for continuous improvement of software applications.
• Identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in code and systems.
• Contributes to software engineering communities and explores new technologies.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to enhance automation.
