In this role with Amazon Q in QuickSight, you will enhance and build new foundational components and user experiences to enable integrating generative AI capabilities with existing features for business users. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical and leadership experience to work with a team of stellar engineers to drive multi-year design and architecture decisions. We are looking for an SDE with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering creative solutions for complex problems on an unprecedented scale.

Frontend Engineers at Amazon partner with the customers, stakeholders, product managers, and UX designers to define and execute the product goals. You challenge yourself and others to constantly come up with better solutions. You're a thought leader, but you don't just know how to solve the problem, you prove it by building the solution. Last but not the least; you have a high bar for code quality and passion for design and architecture.

Key job responsibilities

1. Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
2. Contributing to defining best practices for front end development
3. Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers
4. Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team
5. Write high-quality, efficient, testable code
6. Mentor and support the growth of other developers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
