Job summary
Mercury is hiring a Frontend Engineer to evolve shared components behind our design system, using React and TypeScript. You will partner with designers and engineers to connect design intent with working software, and contribute to tokens, patterns, and documentation across Figma and code.
You will focus on accessibility, thoughtful interactions, and reliable behavior, while exploring AI-assisted approaches to prototype and improve Mercury's components for multiple experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong fundamentals in React, TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with ability to justify design decisions.
- Interest in accessible interfaces and details that improve interactions.
- Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools: review, improve, and contextualize generated code.
- Ownership mindset: follow through, ask for help when needed, learn from feedback.
- Curiosity about reusable design systems and delivering shared components.
- Experience collaborating with designers and engineers to meet product needs.
Responsibilities
- Build shared components and patterns in React/TypeScript for Mercury's interfaces.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to align design intent with working software.
