Mercury is seeking a Frontend Engineer to evolve shared components and patterns behind our design systems. You will work with designers and engineers to turn concepts into reusable, accessible UI using React and TypeScript.

As an early-career to intermediate engineer, you will own meaningful frontend projects, contribute to design tokens with Figma and code, and apply AI tooling to improve implementation and testing. This role emphasizes craftsmanship and collaboration.

Qualificações

• A foundation in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience building interfaces and the ability to explain the decisions behind your code.
• Care for visual craft and accessible interfaces, and details that make interactions feel right.
• Hands‑on fluency with AI coding tools. You can provide useful context, evaluate and improve generated code, and verify that it works as intended.
• Ownership and willingness to learn: you follow work through, communicate when you need help, and use feedback to improve your approach.
• Curiosity about reusable systems and the tradeoffs involved in serving different product needs with shared components.
• Experience with design systems, prototyping, or developer tooling is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Build shared components and patterns using React and TypeScript to create flexible, reusable UI across Mercury’s experiences.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to connect design intent with working software across components and tokens in Figma and code.
• Improve quality of experiences by considering accessibility, interactions, and reliable behavior in implementation and testing.
• Make the design system easier to use by refining examples, documentation, and workflows for teams to adopt shared patterns.
• Explore approaches with AI tools, test results in context, and contribute useful ideas back to the team.
