State Farm is seeking a self-driven Software Engineer for Team Thundercloud, focusing on Hercules Rep Desktop. You will help migrate towards modern architectures like Angular, micro-frontends, and module federation, while delivering high-quality software for contact centers.

You will collaborate across Claims, Operations, and other teams to drive strategy and engineering excellence in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.

Qualifications

• Frontend development with JavaScript frameworks (Angular.js or React).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Route53, CloudWatch).
• Experience with contact center tech (Amazon Connect, routing, call recording).
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• Design understanding of responsive UI/UX and components.
• Familiar with platform monitoring and QA practices.

Responsibilities

Team Thundercloud owns Hercules Rep Desktop which is the primary interface for all Contact Center representatives. We enable business outcomes for the business to reduce average handle time, first contact resolution, and customer satisfaction. We are actively building towards our future platform which includes migration to Angular, micro-frontends, and module federation.

We are seeking a self-driven Software Engineer to join Team Thundercloud. The ideal candidate must have a successful track record of software delivery, deployment, and bring an innovative mindset.

In this Engineer role, you will play a pivotal part in driving out the team’s future strategy, implementing best engineering practices, and contributing to data-driven product development. You will collaborate closely with Claims, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support the business goals for the contact centers.

Qualifications

Technical Skills and Experience:

• 3 plus years with frontend development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular.js or React.
• Working experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, Cloudfront, Route53, CloudWatch etc.)
• Experience contact center services/tech (Amazon Connect, Contact Routing, Call Recording, Screen Capture, etc)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as code tools (Terraform/Opentofu)
• Design - Understanding of responsive design and modern UI/UX principles and components
• Testing, Maintenance, Support - Familiarity with platform monitoring / observability tools and quality assurance practices.

Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

• Potential starting salary range: $97,000 - $123,000. Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
