Role: Sr. Frontend Developer (UI/UX Focus)

Compensation: Up to $70/hr DOE

A high-impact enterprise platform is seeking a Sr. Frontend Developer to lead architecture, design systems, and user experience optimization across a complex web application. This role offers deep technical ownership and the opportunity to shape frontend foundations that directly support business operations and cross-functional workflows. What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and evolve frontend build infrastructure (Bazel, Webpack, npm/yarn)
• Develop and maintain scalable component libraries and shared utilities
• Analyze and improve UI performance, accessibility, and user workflows
• Build and ship new frontend features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Design intuitive interfaces that support complex business use cases
• Contribute to and uphold frontend architectural standards and best practices
• Collaborate with design, product, and engineering to enhance usability and performance

Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These)

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with React and TypeScript
• Proven expertise in build tooling and package management
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining component libraries or design systems
• Solid UI/UX instincts and the ability to own interface improvement initiatives
• Experience building complex data-driven web applications
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimization techniques

You’ll Stand Out If You…

• Have worked on enterprise or internal business platforms (CRM, support tools, etc.)
• Bring experience with UX research, user testing, or design thinking methodologies
• Are skilled in advanced TypeScript patterns and type safety best practices
• Have experience with Bazel build systems or similar scalable tooling
• Thrive in environments that blend visual design with systems architecture

This is a full-time freelance role (40 hrs/week), fully remote. Contract runs for 12 months with opportunity to extend based on performance.
