As a Front Office Supervisor, you will report to Front Office Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager and Rooms Director, and will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk and Valet/Bellperson teams, along with coordinating the delivery of world-class services to hotel guests. Essential Job Functions
The main task of a Front Office Supervisor is to act as a shift leader for both Front Desk and Valet/Bellperson teams. You will focus on assisting guests with arrival and departure, providing guests with hotel services information, and accommodating guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner. You are expected to carry out job tasks as outlined in the Front Office Training Manual, learn and follow the relevant operating procedures and conduct yourself in a manner compliant with The Edgewater Brand Standards. You are required to use the appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests, colleagues and visitors. You will be expected to provide information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, ongoing and scheduled functions and events, and to make room and dining reservations as needed. Offering assistance to the individual needs and requests of all guests, ensuring guest satisfaction, communicating any deficiencies to appropriate departments and leaders and maintaining guest confidentiality at all times are all essential responsibilities. You will be required to accurately manage your personal cash bank. You will be operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment so the abilities to multitask, prioritize and be a detail-oriented and organized team player will be key.
Your supervisory duties will include assisting guests of The Edgewater with arrival and departure, handling room assignments and special requests, communicating with other operational teams, resolving guest complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, and accommodating special requests whenever possible. You will also train, coach, develop, and supervise the Front Desk Agents and Valets/Bellpersons, along with assisting with coverage and scheduling. You will also handle departmental accounting of revenue, receipts, and guests accounts, and ensure everything is running smoothly at the Front Desk.
