Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a patient services associate to facilitate medical record requests and assist with daily closing procedures. You will greet patients in a friendly manner and handle calls, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of documentation.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations, verifying benefits, collecting copays and balances, and distributing records within AMR per policy.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates medical record requests accurately and timely.
• Assists with daily closing procedures and greets patients professionally.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments to minimize no-shows.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and verifies coverage prior to appointments.
• Collects copays, deposits, deductibles and balances per policy.
• Distributes documentation within the AMR accurately and timely.
