Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a patient services specialist to support medical record requests, verification of coverage, and payment collection. This role requires greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timely documentation while following department policies.

You will help maintain low no-show rates, process referrals, and support care coordination in a friendly, professional environment at our Florida facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates medical record requests accurately and timely.
• Greets and directs patients in a friendly, welcoming, and timely manner.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments to ensure a low no-show rate.
• Obtains and verifies insurance information, collects copays and payments per department policy.
